WE are dedicated to the empowerment of independent movie theater owners and operators in North America.
The Independent Cinema Alliance (ICA) is a not-for-profit trade association representing independent movie theatres throughout the United States and Canada. Our members range from single-screen
hometown theatres and drive-ins to regional circuits and multiplexes, collectively operating nearly 5,000 screens and generating more than $1 billion in annual box office revenue.
Founded by independents for independents, the ICA exists to ensure that independently owned movie theatres have a strong voice, access to valuable resources, and a seat at the table in the conversations shaping the future of theatrical exhibition.
Through advocacy, industry partnerships, education, business resources, and marketing initiatives, we help independent exhibitors operate stronger, smarter, and more successfully while preserving the unique role they play in communities across North America.
